EarlyON Playgroups

Play and learn with your child.
Enjoy a variety of age-appropriate activities.
Share materials that will help your child develop skills.
Discover ways to help your child learn.
Chat with other parents, caregivers and early years professionals.
Get information, resources and support.

Playgroups run Monday to Saturday at varying times and locations.

9:30am/10am - 11:30am/12pm/1pm

Belleville, Trenton/Quinte West, Frankford, Deseronto, Madoc, Tweed, Marmora and Plainfield.

Deseronto

WHERE TO GO: When you arrive at the school please proceed through the school yard to the EarlyON entrance, which is the last door on the left of the building. It is marked with the EarlyON sign. DO NOT enter through the main entrance.

​

Calvary

WHERE TO GO: When you arrive please park on the left/east side of the church and enter through the EarlyON door.

 

Frankford WHERE TO GO: Park in the big parking lot (with the fence around it), not at the student drop off. Look for the EarlyON sign and come through the wooden gate to our door. DO NOT enter through the main entrance.

 

Madoc WHERE TO GO: Please use the back entrance.

 

Trent River WHERE TO GO: Enter through the first side door on the left side of the building. DO NOT enter through the main entrance. Please park at the far end (left side) of the parking lot.

 

Tweed WHERE TO GO: Enter through the front door and if you go to the right there is a set of stairs (or the elevator is right at the front door -go to floor 1, room is 012 - to the right once you come out of the elevator), go down the stairs and through the glass door on the right. We are directly down the hall on the right hand side - room 012

Outdoor adventure- forest education. Research tells us that learning is enhanced when outdoor play is the focus. Dress for the outdoors, rain, snow, or shine.

Wildwood runs Monday to Saturday 9:30am - 12:00pm

in various locations 

Monday- Sager Conservation (Quinte West)

Tuesday- Batawa Ski Hill (Quinte West)

Wednesday- O'Hara Mill Homestead (Madoc)

Thursday- Frink Centre (Plainfield)

Friday- Potters Creek Conservation (Belleville)

Last Saturday each month- Potters Creek Conservation (Belleville)

Parking is free during Wildwood programming.

Potters Creek WHERE TO GO: We meet on the South side of highway 2 (the side with the bay). 

​

Batawa WHERE TO GO: We meet at the ‘Dino Dig’ at Batawa Ski Hill

 

Frink WHERE TO GO: Please park in the smaller parking lot on the south side (boardwalk/marsh side) of Thrasher Road. Parking is free during Wildwood programming.

 

Sager WHERE TO GO: We gather at the pavilion by the parking lot. If we are not there, follow the trail past the pavilion, there you will find the Forte's area. Parking is free during Wildwood programming.

 

O’Hara WHERE TO GO: We gather at the parking lot and explore the pond until most families arrive. If we are not there we may be exploring the Fern trail or gathering around the fire pit located by the Sugar Shack. Parking is free during Wildwood programming.

Wildwood Forest and Nature Programs

Baby Club 

Our baby club is for babies from birth to 12 months, moms, dads, and caregivers where you can:

  • Socialize with other parents and their babies

  • Get support and guidance as a new parent

  • Get information and resources

  • Ask questions and share ideas

  • Learn from visiting professionals

  • Childcare for older siblings is unavailable at this time

Eastminster Church  (Belleville) - Tuesdays 10am - 12:00pm

We are located upstairs in the youth room. Once on the upper floor take a right and we are at the end of the hall.

Trent River Public School  (Trenton) - Thursdays 10am - 12:00pm

Infant Massage 

Infant massage helps you get to know your baby on a much deeper level and allows you to develop a lasting bond. The benefits include healthy weight gain and healing for premature infants, relaxation, improving sleep patterns, relieving gas pains, building self-esteem, and helping a child develop and learn.

Salvation Army Church (Belleville) - Mondays 10:00am - 11:30am

(This program takes a break over the summer)

This program is a 4 week course and is suitable for infants 6 months of age and younger.

Pre-registration is required.

Preparing for Parenthood

Preparing for Parenthood is our free in-person session to help prepare you for the many adventures of early parenthood. Topics include; bonding & attachment, safe sleep, postpartum recovery, responding to cues, resources & support. We also provide some short videos to watch before attending class as we want to cover as much as possible. These topics include birth plans, perinatal mental health, nutrition etc.

Daddy n' Me

Daddy'n me is a lively play-based program for men and their children birth to six years. If you are a dad, grandpa, uncle or caring neighbour, you are invited to hang out with us.

Daddy'n me participants will enjoy:​

  • A light dinner

  • A variety of exciting activities

  • Active playtime in our early learning playroom

  • The opportunity to chat with other men and their children

  • Support and resources from male early years professionals

of each month from 4:30pm - 6:30pm

Little Gardeners (May - Oct)

Join us in exploring our garden and all that we will grow! We learn about all sorts of important things at this all-weather program, such as, how to grow/harvest food and identify different insects and weeds. When we are not tending to our garden you can find us singing, reading books, having a picnic, experimenting with water play and other different science activities.

St Thomas Church (Belleville) - Wednesdays 9:30am - 11:30am 

WHERE TO GO: PLOT #18

Walking – there is a path up to the planters from Church Street.

Driving – from the church parking lot, walk around the west side of the church to find the planters.

Little Scientists is a STEAM focused program for toddlers and preschoolers who will be able to spend a few hours focusing on science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics through play-based learning. Our amazing educators put together specific STEAM focuses each month; making messes, digging into understanding, and having a ton of fun doing it!

Tales on the Trails

Connecting to nature through literacy and play! Join us for a Storywalk and nature play with a literacy twist.
